BeachFest with Andrew Palau is an innovative, family-friendly festival of faith and fun for the whole family. The festival will have a lasting spiritual impact on the Grand Strand region and will bring together local churches in a strong expression of unity while equipping and mobilizing thousands of Christians to share their faith. What Is a Catalyst Church?
A catalyst is best defined as an agent that provokes or speeds significant action for change. A festival is an exciting and dynamic tool for initiating change in individual lives. Andrew Palau, with the Palau Association, has always anchored his strategy with local church in:
- Mobilizing believers to share their faith through friendship evangelism.
- Discipleship of new believers through effective follow-up.
Here is a brief overview of what we anticipate from a Catalyst church:
PRAY
Encourage your members to become advocates for their friends who don’t yet have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by committing to daily pray for their salvation.
Launch BeachFest in your church on a Sunday morning in April using the Advocate prayer cards and presentation DVD. In the month of May, additional promotional materials will be provided to assist you in effectively communicating BeachFest as an outreach opportunity for your congregation. Find out more.
EQUIP & MOBILIZE
Train your church members to serve as decision counselors using the free training materials provided. Counselor Training can be conducted in small groups, ministry groups, and/or large group training sessions. Check out additional volunteer opportunities at www.festivalvolunteer.com.
INVEST
Commit to giving a financial gift to help reach your community with the Good News of Jesus Christ through BeachFest.
FOLLOW UP
Commit to follow up with individuals referred to your church after the festival and help each of them get connected and begin taking steps toward discipleship.
